Diploma en Español como Lengua Extranjera.  Billy has the “highest level” of this certificate, earned from the Spanish Ministry of Education in May 2006.

Billy still serves as nurse interpreter, though he is retired from work as a registered nurse.He spends too much time reading Miguel de Cervantes and playing JS Bach on a piano.

A shipwrecked Spanish ancestor became a shaman, opened the Santa Fe Trail in the 1520’s, and later ascended into Paraguay, where he thought he saw the face of God in the Iguazu Falls.  This is a hard act for Billy to follow, but he does what he can.
